06/25/2005: "Feature of the Week"
The insurgency in Iraq has been remarkably effective, particularly in its use of a weapon so new that a special acronym had to be coined for it: IED, for Improvised Explosive Device. These are becoming more and more effective. Consider that there were 700 IED attacks since May, causing 68 deaths. One question seems to be ignored in all of this: where did all these explosives come from?
